The only disagreement I have with Wally is the quality of the V1 neck. But Wally did a damn fine job of putting an excellent video together.

I'm using a Link Supertone 8 and Hard Rico Plasticovers. I've found that the plasticovers help to keep the brightness under control. Please be careful with solvents like vinegar or even piping hot water. These can discolor a mouthpiece. I would not use toothpaste because it is slightly abrasive. Just use luke warm water with a SOFT toothbrush. Remember to clean your mouthpiece once a week or as needed.It could certainly be a good horn, but it is past the prime period of the '30s, '40s, and early '50s. It kind of looks like a relac, but the engraving is sharp, so maybe not. And no, this is not a Big B or an Aristocrat. It is just thick enough for a uniform layer of color, just barely thicker than a layer of 'tarnish'.
